Performance 1:1
She is a rare example of a plant-based human being.
As partially human, she needs pain in her life to grow. As partially plant, she needs water for her body to form parts of itself.
She lives in the earth, like plants.
Outside the room, the audience finds a plate full of onions: they are invited to choose one and bring it to her. Tears are nourishment for her growth, essential to her life.
Each spectator may remain in the room for as long as they wish.
An urgency of metamorphosis, of becoming ever closer to the natural world she feels distant from.
LET ME GROW
Berlino - Saloon Am Moritzplatz, PAS
"Soon, I know, I will even lose the ability to think, but I am fine. For a long time now I have dreamed of this, of being able to live only on wind, sun, and water."
"It is impossible to live in this oppressive place […] this rain is dirty, black with snot and spit, this is not life. It only resembles her […] nothing can grow here, don’t you see?"
— Convalescence, “The fruit of my woman” Han Kang
