Cinema and Multimedia Workshops
Structured Workshop in 10 Sessions – Image and Body
Photography and video are tools for self-knowledge and for understanding the world around us. The camera is a powerful relational and investigative device.
I conduct multimedia workshops at cultural associations in Milan and surrounding areas, where working on integration is especially important. My workshops are aimed at different groups, with primary experience in working with vulnerable adolescents and adults. The goal of the workshop is to use the device of the smartphone in a conscious and creative way.
I believe it is essential, especially today in our image-driven culture, to become aware creators and authors of the images we produce. Moreover, the camera is a powerful tool for claiming one’s sense of self and understanding the surrounding world, particularly where words are harder to express.
While maintaining the same core structure, the workshop is adapted to suit the specific audience it addresses.
In my approach, I always start the work with some theatrical games aimed both at creating a group dynamic and preparing participants for the subsequent work with images.
Each session focuses on a specific aspect of multimedia and includes a substantial practical component. The workshop is designed to be developed over approximately ten sessions of two hours each. It can also be offered in shorter, separate modules, depending on the theme that is most relevant.
