INTERRATI I

The relationship with the Other is the world in which we come to know ourselves and the world. We cannot disregard their gaze, which shapes our identities, nor their touch. The space I create, the boundaries I build to defend and define myself, I envision as permeable. In this work, I aim to create my personal space as one capable of welcoming, breathing, and allowing itself to be transformed by those who pass through it. The performance seeks to create a space of care and stands as a hymn to human encounter. I believe that the way we can change the world, to imagine a collective future, is precisely by opening boundaries, softening them, seeking dialogue. We are children of the earth and to the earth we will return; we are living roots searching for our space, and by meeting in a dimension of listening, we can create networks and reclaim our humanity.

I am the guardian of the space.

Action – Participatory and generative of new shared forms. Cover the entire surface of the space with soil. I am barefoot, taking care of this space. The audience is invited to enter, removing their shoes and walking barefoot through it with care, alongside me. Within this space, I plant them and form hybrid human landscapes. We breathe. Each person is free to stay in the room as long as they wish. Spectators may cross my boundaries with the intent to create something new together, or simply to traverse it and experience a different kind of presence, in contact.

A sensory work focused on care and presence.
